Yesterday, I fix two laptops.
Toshiba L355D needed to be reflowed, and I tried 3 times to get it work.
I'm glad it works, because this laptop is pretty much brand new, and I got it for pretty much nothing.
The dv4 was little tricky..
The laptop only worked at certain angle, and I did not know why.
It took me such a long time figuring out what was wrong.
The lcd screen controller was touching something I think, and caused problems.
So I unscrewed, and taped it and screwed it back on, and it worked!
Also I had to do a reflow to this baby as well..
and used alcohols to peel those tapes off... grrr..
But overall, I'm glad those two worked! and now on CL!
Also sold my hp g60 for 340 ! yay

Fixing hp g60 negative screen!
I bought a broken hp g60 for 130 bucks.
It had hard drive and rams and everything, so I guess it was a great deal
The issue was, that the screen was in negative mode. Like white was black, black was white...
The issue was the screen.
I guess it had a bad screen controller or liquid misplaced or something....
I bought a used screen for 50 bucks, so I spent about 190 total.
If I sell this anything above 300, I'm making some bank!
I also sold my other dv 9823cl for 225.
And I also traded in a toshiba l335d with broken graphics card.
So I guess it was another great deal!
My customer was satisfied, because he got close to 100bucks off of that dv 9323cl.
And I got a laptop with full parts for 100!
Haha win-win right there.
I forgot to take some pictures of me fixing g60, but it is replacing screen.. so..
I also started selling stuff off ebay, and so far it is going great.
I made over 250 on ebay just selling stuff that I don't need.
:D
This is a picture of one of my postings!
Haha people actually buy those stuff.. lol

Reflow Reflow more reflow! fixing dv9823cl and hp dv4 2165dx
Today I fix 2 laptops, dv4 2165dx and dv9823cl.
They both had no video, but now they do!
I got the dv4 from this local woman for 150bucks, but the condition was horrible.
All keys were gone, and there were STICKERS ON THE COVER
SHIT WHY DO PEOPLE PUT STICKERS ON THE COVER
It was pain in the ass to take those stickers off..
Anyways.. the 9823cl was easy and nice.
I tried once and it worked.
The dv4 took me 3 times to get it worked, and apparently there is something wrong the the cable that connects to the screen.
So the dv4 will need some more work.
I also sold the other dv 9000 for 290 bucks.
YAYYY
Hopefully make some money soon. I'm broke.

Fixing Sony Vaio!
Sony is a very interesting company, especially in laptop market.
Their prices are very expensive, and somehow that appeals some people.
It is quite obvious that Sony do their business like apple.
They put a lot of brand value and perfectionism into their products.
Sony = quality apple = quality.
Those 2 ideas are very strong nowadays.
Sony tends to even follow the design of apple as well.
Sony design their laptops very clean and simple.
This also appeals some buyers.
But I've never liked the way they do their business.
It is so overpriced, for example, sony vaio Z costs about 3000 dollars.
However, I can easily find a laptop less than 2000 dollars that can beat the vaio Z in the performance.
Today, I've got a customer who had a broken sony Vaio.
I couldn't fix his laptop, because the reflow didn't work.
Meanwhile, I got to look deeply at the Sony vaio laptop.
Couple things very impressed me.
First, their screws were extremely light weighted. This proves that they really try to make their laptops light.
Second, the inside cable design was interesting

Swapping engine for my friend's MR2!
My freiend serjey is swapping his engine for the Mr2.
His car has 2nd generation mr2 engine, and he recently bought a 3rd generation engine.
His old engine had 200k mileage, and the new engine will have only 30k mileage.
What a great idea!
Since this isn't an ordinary engine swap, because it is actually changing the entire engine sets.
His mechanic, cory richardson helped us!
I only helped him for several hours, but he said he can hopefully finish it by Tuesday!
Excited!

First Failure on fixing hard drive!
I tried to fix a hard drive.
The data were unreachable.
So what I tried was: I bought a working hard drive, and tried to move the spindle
The job was very diffilcult, since it required a machine's accuracy.
but I accidently touched a header, making the hard drive unusable.
It was a great experience and I learned a lot of important knowledge out of it.
I ALSO SOLD THE TOSHIBA L745 FOR 380 BUCKS TODAY!
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Replacing Screen for Toshiba l745 and GALAXY S2 !!! sold dv7!
So replacing screen is like the easiest job I can do now haha
I got this l745 toshiba from this woman in craigslist.
She dropped it and accidently cracked the screen.
I offered her 100 including shipping and she accepted it!
I got it the next day via usps, and today I managed to replace the screen.
replacing screen took only 20 min, so I do not have any pictures
but guess what? I fix a galaxy S2 (cracked screen + digitizer) also!
She had a t-mobile galaxy s2, and they had a different screen than other galaxies.
So I had to pay 190 dollars for the screen, even tho other galaxy screens costed only 100bucks..
This is always a bad news to the user or the technician. I really hate when companies
modify their products so you can only get it from the company when you need the parts.
I took some pictures and a video!
First ! the toshiba!

Got some expensive laptop! Fixing HP DV7!
So, my cunsultant gave me this laptop that he does not use.
Well, because it was broken, but very nice of him, he gave the laptop for free.
It might not worth anything to him, but it really does mean a lot for me haha.
The laptop looked very slick and new.
It was also beats audio edition with a beats logo.
It had its own subwoofer, and this is technically first time I see laptop with a subwoofer.
This definately will worth a lot of money when I fix this.
The issue was video.
Like other hp laptops.
I think hp really have issues with their graphics card and the heating solution.
I don't understand why they cannot put a nice little copper heat sink and some thermal grease.
That will fix all the issue.
Well, I needed to do a bga reflow!
I even took a video this time!
Since I took a video of me opening the laptop, there are no pictures while I was opening it. But that is the motherboard.
After the reflow, I did a brief try, and it worked! yayyyyyyyyyy
Now putting all back together
Got a nice new laptop!
:D
